Hampton Court Palace - Review

We recently visited Hampton Court Palace courtesy of the lovely people at superbreak we were really excited to be attending Hampton Court Palace and couldn't wait to take the tour, to explore all of its amazing history.

The Building looked absolutely stunning and huge from the outside...the weather was a little over cast so we decided to start our tour by strolling through the beautiful surrounding gardens..we were wowed by the acres and acres of beautifully kept and colourful gardens with some mushroom shaped like trees..

We entered the Royal Tennis court..there was a game going on inside so we had to be very quite..they had a display to show how the tennis ball has changed over many years...my son found this very fascinating...

We then made our way to the Palace we were advised by a member of staff to go to Base court as you can access most of the tour routes from here..such as Henry VIII's kitchens this is where we saw the great roasting fire we could really feel the heat from the fire when we walked into the kitchen.. we also went to Henry VIII's apartments, Mary II's apartments..William III's apartments..we loved looking at the beautiful hanging paintings and painted ceilings..all of the furniture and furnishings were luxurious and stunning...

we also saw people dressed in costume walking around to show how they used to dress back then.
We finished off our day by going to the Maze..and gift shop we all had an amazing day and took some lovely photos.. i would definitely recommend going along.

Please visit superbreak as they have a selection of amazing offers.

  3. I love your photos, it looks and sounds as amazing as I imagined. I've read so much about the Tudors and really wanted to visit Hampton Court before we left England but never made it. I WILL do it when we go back for a visit though :-)

  5. Brilliant pictures! I haven't been here for years and years, but I love history and particularly the Tudors, so it is now back on my list of where to go. There are just so many brilliant places in and around London (and the UK in general, come to think of it)...
