#Magicmoments - My Surgery

My Magic Moment is all about my results after surgery, i will try not to waffle on too long lol.
When i was younger my mum always brought me and my sister round toe shoes, as she was very conscious of our growing feet.

Quite a few years later, when i entered my early teenage years i developed Bunions, these were hereditary on my fathers side...the more the years went on the more prominent and painful they become...i also found it very hard to find shoes that fitted me..my bunions  pushed on my shoes and you could see the bump protruding at the side of my shoes..my big toe was also bent and pushed onto my other toes..this was noticeable and i did get negative comments here and there..at the end of the day when i would remove my shoes/trainers..my feet would be throbbing and the bump on the side of my foot would be red raw...the pain  became unbearable..so i decided to book an appointment with my doctor,  i was referred on to the hospitals podiatry department..they said the only option i had was surgery..you can read about it here i went through two foot surgery operations last year..i am so glad i had it done..the results are amazing..i no longer suffer the throbbing pain..the unsightly bump is now gone and i now have straight big toes..my shoes no longer hurt me..i really wish i had it done sooner..

I brought myself the sandals in the photo just before my surgery..my bunions were hanging right over the sides and my toes curved round to the other side..i would have never have considered wearing them out like this..but now they fit me perfectly.

  6. Glad it went well, my friend here has just had hers removed. I had no idea how tough it was - and how long before she could walk and drive again. Results though speak for themselves and those are some lovely sandals.
