I was reading mummyfromtheheart blog post today, it was about operation Christmas child, great ways to get involved,  please pop over for some ideas.

I know when Christmas comes my son gets so many gifts, probably more than he needs,  its lovely to see his face light up with excitement, great big smiles.  Itsn't it lovely to know we can do that for another less fortunate child, its the gift of giving

Operation Christmas child is the largest childrens Christmas project in the world run by the christian charity Samartians Purse

Ways to get involved:

Find a empty shoe box, fill with some gifts, include toys, Tennis ball, soft toy etc,for Boys cars, Girls dolls.
Educational items felt pens, colouring book.
Hygiene items toothbrush
Other items sweets,gloves
If you click on the samartians purse link above, it has a what to pack section, this will have some more ideas.
It is possible to make a box up for around £10, you can pick up some great items from pound shops.

When you have packed your gift box you can drop off to the nearest collectionpoint aound the UK by the 18th of November.

If you do not have alot of time you can order it on line with shoebox world
